A Little Blurb About Sidney.
Piano | Voice Teacher
Sidney Grimm brings a rare combination of a life of joyful sounds from her mother’s home music lesson studio, classical training, and real-world performance experience to her teaching at our Broomfield location. She started teaching at the young age of 16. Sidney has performed leading roles in musical theater and Opera at venues including the Seagle Festival, Eklund Opera, and the Boulder Symphony. She also loves pop, jazz, and a wide variety of genres.
After earning her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance at CU Boulder, Sidney continued building her performance career while developing her teaching practice.
Sidney’s recent performance schedule includes her role debut as Valeria in the rarely-performed MAYO BUCKNER by Tom Cipullo at the Seagle Festival, as well as Gretel in HÄNSEL UND GRETEL and Susanna in scenes from LE NOZZE DI FIGARO. This summer, she’ll be performing as a studio artist at Central City Opera in productions of COSÌ FAN TUTTE, DIE FLEDERMAUS, and IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Her concert work has featured soprano solos in Fauré’s Requiem and selections from Handel’s Messiah with the Boulder Symphony.
Sidney’s approach combines technical precision with artistic interpretation. Her background in psychology helps her understand how students learn differently, allowing her to adapt her teaching methods to each individual. Whether working on classical repertoire or contemporary styles, she focuses on building solid technique, artistic interpretation, and musical confidence.
When not teaching or performing, Sidney enjoys playing piano, exploring Colorado’s backroads, and spending time with family and friends.
